Calling from US to Russia. Any way to do it cheap?

Is there any cheap way to call from the US to Russia? It doesn't have to be an actual phone service, it can be a prepaid card or VOIP based service.

I have a few friends that I talk to every once in awhile but it's expensive when skype app calling isn't available.

The best way to make a cheap international call not just from US to Russia but to every other country is to go online - using skype. you will sure get a cheaper call billing when you use skype for your international calls.
