DataCamp Signal is an adaptive assessment tool that accurately measures your data science knowledge and skill level in Python, R and SQL. Each assessment takes about 10 minutes to complete. After completing an assessment, you will receive an assessment score and percentile ranking, your skill level, an overview of your strengths and skill gaps, and personalized course recommendations for areas of improvement. 

Everyone with an account can take DataCamp Signal assessments. You can attempt each assessment twice per week. If you have a DataCamp account, you can attempt an assessment twice per week. The attempt will only count if you complete the assessment, so if you cannot finish, that will not count against you. 

Your assessment results are private to you. Data Camp will not share your results without your permission. Currently, Data Camp only show the results from your most recent assessment attempt. 

DataCamp projects allow you to apply the skills you have learned in DataCamp courses. In each project, you will carry out an end-to-end analysis on real-world tasks using real-world tools and workflows. In doing so, you will learn how to work with Jupyter notebooks: an open-source web application that is great for interactive data analysis.

It is not about learning a new language or tools. It is all about understanding the data and extracting important information. You need to work on multiple projects to get better at understanding the data and producing reports for non-technical people.

Course is designed for people with no prior Python experience. It is even suitable if you have no coding experience at all. You will cover the basics of Python, helping you understand common, everyday functions and applications, including how to use Python as a calculator, understanding variables and types, and building Python lists. This course prepares you to use Python interactively and teaches you how to store, access, and manipulate data using one of the most popular programming languages in the world. 

The second half of the course starts with a view of how you can use functions, methods, and packages to use code that other Python developers have written. As an open-source language, Python has plenty of existing packages and libraries that you can use to solve your problems. 

NumPy is an essential Python package for data science. You’ll finish this course by learning to use some of the most popular tools in the NumPy array and start exploring data in Python. 

Members enrolled in a DataCamp group can be requested to be removed from the organization, after which they can update their account's email and purchase an individual subscription. 

When a member is removed from an organization, their progress, XP, username, and password will remain active. They will no longer have a subscription, so they can either purchase an Individual Subscription or join another Business Subscription. 

In some aspects, DataCamp Workspace resembles Jupyter Notebooks, and one of its strengths lies in being fully interoperable with this platform. In fact, it is possible to switch seamlessly from the DataCamp's notebook editor to JupyterLab. Workspace includes key features, such as real-team collaboration, commenting, tagging, and sharing, which are surprisingly often still missing in the data science landscape. 

Workspace is a cloud-based, in-browser tool, meaning that it requires zero installation and zero downloading to start using it. This is a great time-saver in the classroom, as no setup is required on students’ computers. 

While you can only enroll in one Track at a time, courses within Tracks can be completed at any time enrolled or otherwise and apply to your enrolled Tracks at any future date. Once completed, you need to be enrolled in a Track in order to download that Track's Statement of Accomplishment.
