Note: This new feature is currently only viewable on the Desktop client and the Mobile Presence indicator will show up when you are active only on mobile.

So, if you'd like to hide your Mobile Presence, you can set your Online status to Invisible to keep that status hidden.

Sometimes receiving multiple notifications can disturb members on the server. Server members can mute notifications from their end. However, server owners have the authority to modify the permissions of their servers. This write-up will narrate the process of disabling the @everyone mentioned on Discord.

To disable the @everyone on Discord, choose a server and open its “Settings”. From the available categories, press the “Roles” option and go to “Default Permissions”. Scroll through the opened window and disable the “Mention @everyone, @here, and All Roles” toggle.

The easiest option is to use the emoji’s that are accessible with any Discord account. To do that, you have a few options.

Discord has implemented a comprehensive and modular set of privacy features meant to allow any user to fully control who and when people can send them direct message. It helps people avoid unsolicited DMs from people who they may not want to talk to. By customizing these Privacy & Safety options, you can make your Discord experience as private or public as you’d like it to be.

Discord has various verification levels. Verification adds an extra layer of security to your Discord server. Whenever you join a server, you may need to meet a verification level before you can send messages. There are 5 verification levels including “None”, “Low”, “Medium”, “High”, and “Highest”. 

 If the server owner sets a “None” verification level, anyone can chat on their server. However, if they set a “Low”, “Medium”, “High”, or “Highest” verification level, you need to verify your account before you can chat. This includes verifying your email or phone number. However, only the “Highest” verification level requires you to verify your phone number before you can chat.  

To verify your phone number on Discord, you must first navigate to your account settings and tap on “Phone”. After you’ve tapped on “Phone”, enter your phone number and a verification code will be sent to your phone. Next, enter the 6-digit code that is sent to your phone and enter your password. Once you’ve entered the 6-digit code and entered your password, your phone number will be verified. 

In the channel user list, tap the name of your friend. This will display their user profile in a pop-up menu. To add the user, tap the Add Friend button. A friend request will be sent to the user. Once accepted, your new friend will appear in your Friends list.

Streams have a maximum of 50 concurrent viewers (50 viewers, plus the broadcaster!). If you have multiple friends that are sharing their screen at the same time, you'll be able switch the stream that you are watching by pressing the Watch Stream button on the other friend's stream. 

Discord currently doesn't support the full-screen sharing of applications. Users can only share screens that display as a separate window. Hence, check if the game you're running is in full-screen mode. If it is, switch to a windowed mode, and re-share your screen on Discord. 

 

Group DMs allow you to have a private chat with up to ten people without having to set up a server and configure any permissions or channels. With group DMs, you can send text messages as well as emoji’s, pictures, and other embedded and linked content. You can also start a voice or video call with the entire group, although they don’t all have to join. 

Make sure you're on the Direct Messages section of the app; if not, tap the direct messages icon in the top-left corner of the screen. Choose a contact from your list of friends. Tap the text box at the bottom to create a DM. Enter your message and tap Send. 

Discord has a limit on how many servers one user can be a member of at once. The maximum number of servers that you can join is 100. If you're already at 100, you won't be able to join another server. So if you're getting the Invite Invalid error when trying to join a server, check how many servers you've joined.

While watching your friend’s shared screen, you’ll be able to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to control the stream volume.

When using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge to stream Netflix or another video platform, you’ll need to turn off the Hardware Acceleration. Otherwise, the Discord app stream will only show a black screen. Your Discord streams will be automatically set to 720p and 30fps. If you have Discord Nitro, you can increase it to 1080p/4K and 60fps.
