Content that doesn’t go against Instagram Community Guidelines, but may be inappropriate, disrespectful, or offensive (example: racial slurs, curse words or scams) can be hidden using the Hidden Words setting. You can also create a custom list of words, phrases, numbers and emojis you want to hide. 

Keep in mind that hidden comments are still included in your total comment count and when a comment or message is hidden, the person who sent it won’t know. 

Automatically hide comments: Comments with common offensive words, phrases or emojis are filtered out or hidden automatically. This setting is on by default, but you can change it any time. 

Advanced comment filtering: Filter out even more comments that may be spam, or may contain offensive words or phrases. Comments from people you follow and who follow you will not be hidden. This setting is on by default, but you can change it at any time. 

Hide message requests: Message requests that may contain scams or offensive words, phrases or emojis will appear in your hidden requests folder. This setting is off by default, but you can change it any time. Note: Instagram cannot see your messages unless you report them.

  • Tap the little arrow to change modify date/time. 
  • Add colors, Gifs, design and Share to Story. 
Followers click timer to get reminders and/or share your sticker. When a follower sets a reminder or shares your timer, you will receive a direct message notification which is great for tracking engagement.

The polls feature on Instagram Stories allows you to engage with your followers by asking questions and receiving answers from them. Polls are a great way to learn something from your audience or highlight a product or feature without seeming too promotional. Creating a poll on Instagram is pretty easy. 
  • Create a new Instagram Story by tapping the "+" icon and sliding over to "story".
  • Tap the sticker icon at the top of the screen (it's square with a smiley). 
  • Tap to select the “poll” sticker icon. 
  • Fill in the question for your poll and edit your answer options. 
  • Tap “Your Story” or “Send to” to share your poll on your stories. 
To view the results of your Instagram poll, simply view your own story and tap the "Seen by" button in the lower left corner. This will show you how many viewers you've had on your story as well as who voted on your poll and how many votes each answer option received. 

Your followers might want to know which choice got the most votes in your recent poll. There's also a "Share Results" button so you can easily share the results of your poll onto your Instagram stories.
