Application process is fairly easy, approval is almost guaranteed. Install process, however, ranges from days to months. Equipment given is an ADSL modem, Zyxel P-600, nowadays they also offer a wifi capable modem.   The Bad: 
Initially, the connection they give you may be shit i.e. slow/intermittent connection. But if you complain enough to eventually get them to send a tech to set up their box properly it gets to be pretty reliable. Plan 999 is advertised as a 5mbps plan but you'll actually only get about 80% speed 99% of the time, maybe be less OR if you are very very lucky, more. Rain, sometimes you connection gets spotty even on a light drizzle. Sometimes a typhoon could be going on outside and you'll be fine.The Good: Compared to the competitor's performance in our area, pretty reliable. Given that it is new the cost of the package is affordable for as low as 1899.00 php. This comes with unlimited broadband and landline service for PLDT and SMART users. For the price of 1899.00 php I can say that it is fair as I am getting a good quality of service from them. Although, at one instance of us having the services there has been an issue with the internet service being intermittent. It has been fixed after a tiring experience with their customer service. I am not satisfied with the customer service when it comes to knowledge and comprehension. They were all kind and apologetic but when it comes to understanding the issue with the internet services they were inefficient and I have to exert huge effort just to explain the situation. The same goes with bill explanation, I was able to understood it quickly by just looking at the bill copy whilst on 20 minutes hold with their representative. I believe that is one downside of their customer service. I am quite happy, though, with the compensation received for the time that we experienced an issue with the services. I am a loyal customer of PLDT when it comes to broadband services at home. It is more reliable than other services provider. They ask for us to pay for the Fibr modem and installation when this can be provided for free or at a discounted price. Contract Terms are not flexible as they only have 36 months for the term. There were no other choices such as having a 12 months, 18 months, or 24 months contract. ]]> They have to ensure that there are alternative connections to be provided to their customers in case there will be issues in the interim, considering that the fiber service is a newly introduced services here in the Philippines.
