My wife and I owned 2 amazon Echo's and we kept one in our living room and the other in our bedroom. One thing that I liked about it was I could say, "Alexa read me the news", and it would read the news headlines. There was really no necessary need to have one and we mostly used it as a speaker to play our music from, but the volume on it was very low. After discovering that amazon employees could record our conversations (and who knows what else), we decided it was time to do away with the device. The device though was what amazon advertised it to be, and alexa responds a lot better than siri ever did. If your someone who would like to have an 'AI' assistant, and don't mind privacy issues it really isn't a bad product. Just not my cup of tea.
