Caesalpinioideae is a botanical subfamily under the larger family Fabaceae or Leguminosae.

Its name derives from the generic name Caesalpinia. It is also known as the peacock flower subfamily.

The Caesalpinioideae are primarily trees found in the moist tropics, but they include temperate species such as the honeylocust (Gleditsia triacanthos) and Kentucky coffeetree (Gymnocladus dioicus).
