The app is free to join and use instantly. There is no obligation to upgrade. You get a lot of saving by paying with GasBuddy. An estimation is that you get $0.05 off on each gallon you purchase. GasBuddy has a host of complimentary value added tools, such as an outrage tracker which helps you in finding open gas stations especially after natural disasters.
Dislikes:
The app sometimes malfunction while finding nearest gas stations. Users face issue while using Pay with GasBuddy as it doesn’t work sometimes. Occasional drivers doesn’t get much benefit from the premium service as it tends to be costly for them. The discount shrinks as the gas prices increases which is not the case in many other competitive apps. The trip cost calculator doesn’t project fuel cost of your trip as much correctly as it should.
