The flowering plant species Mangifera indica, or mango, belongs to the Anacardiaceae family. It is a substantial fruit tree that can reach a height of 30 meters (100 feet).
The mango is a fleshy drupe that has an amorphous, egg-shaped form. Mangos are typically greenish yellow in color and 8 to 12 centimeters (3-5 inches) long.
