In Twitter's case, it is 13 years or older. If you create an account when you are younger than 13 years, Twitter will automatically lock your account and your access will be revoked. Moreover, there is no official way to turn off the age restriction on Twitter and you cannot use the service till you're 13 years or older.

If you are under 13 years old and wish to access your account, you can request for it to be restored by filling out the form available in the Help section of the website. You will be asked to enter your recovery email address. When you receive the email, you will be given a temporary password that you can use to sign in to your account. Once you have changed this temporary password, you can go back to the account and log in again.

Once you’ve received a notification from Twitter, you can proceed to unlock your account. In most cases, unlocking an account requires submitting your date of birth, and you can expect the process to take a few days. However, keep in mind that the verification process can take up to two weeks, so you should expect a delay of a few days. The wait for a full unlocking process is worth the effort.

Notifying Twitter of the unlocked account after the age restriction is free, but it does require you to provide a valid email address. Then, you should enter your date of birth and credit card number to verify the account. Then, the website will send you instructions on how to reset your password. The process is a little confusing, but it’s worth it in the end. The process will work in waves so you won’t get locked out for too long
