Depending what notifications, you want, you can change settings for certain apps or for your whole phone. Notifications show when you swipe down from the top of your screen. Some notifications can also show on your lock screen and home screen.
To find your notifications, from the top of your screen, swipe down.
- Touch and hold the notification, and then tap Settings.
- Choose your settings.
- To turn off all notifications, turn off All notifications.
- Turn on or off notifications you want to receive.
- To allow notification dots, turn on Allow notification dot.
In the certain app, you can control many app notifications from a settings menu in the app. For example, an app could have a setting to choose the sound that app's notifications make. To make these changes, open the app and search for the settings menu.
You can also choose to show or not show sensitive information on your lock screen by toggling “Sensitive notifications” on or off. If it’s toggled off, you will only see the app that the notification is from rather than the notification itself for example, you’ll see “1 new message” rather than any information about the message.

You can further customize your notifications by adjusting how you’re notified. For example, you can adjust the notification sound and vibration pattern of each app, use badges to show unread notifications, or change the display location for your notification alerts.
