iPhone 13 Pro Max Notes Settings

With the Notes Settings on your iPhone, you can manage the Notes app access to other services and customize the other available Notes Settings.

Go to Settings > Notes to configure the various Notes access options and other functions.

  • Siri & Search: Tap this to configure how Siri will access Notes app for learning, search, and suggestions. You can enable or disable the app and content to appear in search. You can also toggle the options on how suggestions and content from "Notes" to appear. 
  • Notifications: Tap this to turn on the 'Notifications' for Notes app. You can configure where and how the notifications to appear. Toggle the options for notifications on Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners. Set the Banner Style, Sounds and enable or disable Badges. You can also configure the appearance of previews and notification grouping on lock screen. 
  • Language: Select and set the default language for Notes.
  • Accounts: Tap “Accounts” and go to the list of accounts. Tap a specific account to toggle these options to appear for the account such as Mail, Calendar, Contacts, and Notes. You can also delete the specific account from this screen. When you scroll down on Accounts screen, you can see the options to add a new account and configure the settings on how to fetch new data for each of the accounts.
  • Default Account: Tap this to pick an account and set as default for notes.
  • Password: Tap this and then tap a specific account to set the password or enable Face ID for the account to view locked notes.
  • "On My iPhone" Account: Turn this on to use the 'On My iPhone' account that let you store the Notes on your device.
  • Mention Notifications: If your name is mentioned in shared notes, you will receive notifications when this is turned on.
  • Sort Notes By: Pick a choice to sort the Notes from these options - Date Edited, Date Created, Title.
  • New Notes Start With: Set an option on how to start a new Notes. Available options are - Title, Heading, Subheading, Body.
  • Sort Checked Items: This setting is useful when you create checklists with Notes. When this is set as Manually or Automatically, checked items on the checklist will be moved to the bottom of the list.
  • Lines & Grids: Set a line or grid layout for new notes.
  • Auto Convert to Tag: It's a convenient way to convert any text prefixed with # to tag. If this is turned on, a text typed as "#text" and if you hit space, this text will be converted as tag. Text could be anything after #, which you want to be entered as a tag.
  • Save to Photos: Enable this to automatically save the photos and videos taken by the camera in Notes to the Photos app.
  • Access Notes from Lock Screen: Configure the behavior when you access the Notes from Lock Screen. It could create a new Note or resume last Note.
