Neelkanth Peak is a mountain peak located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India. It is part of the Gangotri group of peaks in the western Garhwal Himalayas, and has an elevation of 6,596 meters (21,640 feet). The peak is named after Lord Shiva, who is also known as Neelkanth or "the blue-throated one".

Neelkanth Peak is a challenging climb, and is popular among experienced mountaineers. It was first climbed in 1961 by a team of Indian mountaineers led by Nandu Jayal, and has since been climbed by several other expeditions. The peak offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, including Bhagirathi II, III and IV, and the Shivling Peak.

The climb to Neelkanth Peak involves crossing glaciers, negotiating crevasses, and ascending steep snow and ice slopes. The best time to attempt the climb is during the months of May to June and September to October, when the weather is generally clear and stable. However, climbing Neelkanth Peak requires a high level of fitness, technical climbing skills, and experience in high-altitude mountaineering.
