I came from Android with the Samsung Galaxy S8, and while it was a quality device, I have to say Apple's IOS runs smoothly. It really makes life better. I do appreciate both OS's, but for simplicity, clarity, and ease of daily use, I'd stick with iPhone. In conclusion, do try out the Max version if you are on the border of deciding. You spend a lot of time looking at your phone for all of your content, and I guarantee the larger screen size will be more pleasing. If you aren't into the largeness for convenience reasons, then the regular will do fine. Of course, everyone's different. Personally, I was able to adjust right away and it doesn't feel big anymore. The Max also has longer battery life compared to the regular.
