Phone or Device Usage
I use my echo for many purposes. The best facility built into the echo are it's communication capabilities.With any amazon echo device, if the owner gives you permission you can "drop in" on them. This allows you to start a real time call between your devices, which is perfect for a quick way to call each other. You call also use devices to call and send messages, which I use a lot. Another feature is its ability to play music, which I find extremely helpful. Finally, the last thing I do consistently, is set alarms/reminders/timers. This is fantastic as it is a quick way to set them, and they are fully customise able, so can suite any situation.
Likes
I love the ease of use with the voice being the main method of use. I love the speaker volume. I enjoy how easy and latency-free the communication is between devices.
Dislikes
To use the music functionality, you must have access to a premium service like amazon music or spotify premium. The speaker also has a design flaw, as if it's too loud, your device will be unable to hear you, so you must turn it down manually, or on the companion app.
Suggestions
Improving the device's ability to detect speech aimed at it would be a major improvement for me. I would also like to see functionality with free music streaming platforms, as it shuts off some of the devices use if you do not wish to pay for a music-subscription.
