I needed internet for the personal use for simple browsing and surfing without much downloading so it was best suitable for me. After searching online for their plans and coverage areas fortunately frontier same plan and package was available in my area but one bad thing happened in the first step.

There are many 3rd party sales websites are available on internet which are popping up on google search results when you start searching for the internet packages by frontier broadband.These websites are like same phishing or sales websites which are using frontier name and logo and also using google, Facebook advertising to show in top of the search results as on 1st or 2nd place when you search. I was caught by one of them too as i didn't check much and started browsing very quick.

This website was showing good packages by Frontier with there logo, name and also all packages and with a toll free number and more cheaper packages so i called there number and it was some foreign accent rep on the line with some Indian accent. the lady rep started asking my information and also asked for the address and the plan i want to choose.I told them my requirements and then later she started asking my SSN and Date of birth for the credit check.I was new user so i gave them the info taking it genuine call.

After that she asked me to deposit $40 by my credit card over the phone and also became too assertive to take the payment at the same time with some sales tact. looking at such behavior i got suspicious and asked them if you are directly from frontier and she tried to avoid my question which gave me more alert. I ended up the call saying not interested and after some more search i found frontiers real website with there name on domain and other correct info.

So guys please beware of such duplicate or sales driven fake websites which use the name and logo of frontier communications to avoid the scam and Data theft.The real website for frontier communications is frontier.com.

So after being escaped from the scammers i checked the plans on the real website and choose the basic plan which asked to book online. I was in need of internet fast so i chose to book online and it again asked my address and full information and said its avilable,Cheers.

The next was i had to put my Date of Birth and SSN to get the credit check done once again to determine my eligibility for the pre bookings.I got approved and frontier asked just $30 deposit in advance without modem cost and $30 every month when billed. boom all done.

I was told to wait 1 week for their technicians come and install the broadband in my apartment.The sad part it got delayed 2 days as per the appointment dates and also during the installation it cost me $30 extra which was not mentioned in the agreement. i was told that due to some updates and changes in the service terms they are charging it for some additional costs being occurred. I paid it as already booked everything and was really in urgency of internet at my Home so anyhow i had to pay.

After 1 month use of internet i was billed $32 with $2 extra usage ( i don' know what extra use i did ) but that was fine.

So the internet speed is bit slower compared to other internet i have used in past according to my plan.Also sometimes it gets off due to their maintenance or bandwidth exceed but all together the service was good and also i am happy to use the broadband services by Frontier communications.

I will suggest all folks who are looking for a cheaper and basic internet connection can definitely opt for Frontier Broadband services ( FIOS ). also they do offer Free $100 Visa Gift cards on every new connections ( only applicable in the offer time ) .
