I've rarely ever had any internet outage related to storms, and even more rare is an outage just from service disruptions. My parents had ATT DSL for a long time, and now currently have Frontier. Both are awful and slow in comparison! We regularly pull 100+ mbps even though our plan only call for 75mpbs. We do bundle TV and Internet together, so some money is saved there! However, Comcast costs have increased in the last 5 years significantly. After doing some research and coming across Mate’s good reviews, I thought I’ll give them a chance. The signing up process with them was a breeze and I only had just a few hours of downtime between the switch from adsl2 + to nbn. So far I was impressed with the service. Speeds, well I’m consistently getting around 47Mbps down and 17Mbps up on their 50 plan. Pretty much what they advertise, so another big tick on the service. Then I ran into an issue with my email POP settings. A quick email to them and within less than an hour I got an answer that swiftly rectified my issued. Another big tick. In fact, I cant find anything to be negative about. Before I singed up I called them and I spoke with a local Australian operator of theirs which was very helpful with my enquiries. Even looked up and did a quick search while on the phone to see if my existing modem was compatible with the nbn service. I was impressed at that point of the initial call and signed up. This was approx. only a month ago and so far they’ve impressed the pants off me.
