In spite of being more connected to each other than ever before, Privacy concerns are a thing..
To help keep your device safe from hackers, or any other prying eyes, it’s recomended that you turn off USB accessories.
To do this, in iOS 11.4.1:
Tap on Settings > Touch ID & Passcode (or on the iPhone X Face ID)
Enter your passcode.
Scroll down to USB accessories>
Make sure it is turned OFF.
This will prevent USB accessories from connecting to your device when it has been locked for over an hour.
