Priority Speaker is currently only supported for the desktop app. The mobile app does not work with this feature, you won't be able to hear (or set) Priority Speaker on the mobile app. 

Priority Speaker privileges can be assigned to a role and assigned to users by anyone with a Manage Roles permission. These roles can be given out on either the server level or the channel level. 

Since Priority Speaker requires you to use Push to Talk, this means you’ll also need to set up a keybind for this feature to activate. Go into User Settings then Keybind & click on Add a Keybind. Under Action select Push to Talk (Priority) & select a keybind. 

To grant microphone access to apps, check the Screen Time settings to ensure that you are allowed to make changes to the microphone settings.

Generally, the Discord roles are divided into three main categories. These are administrators, moderators, and members. Administrator roles generally have the most power over a Discord server. They can create and delete channels, manage members, manage messages, and have permission to change all settings within the server, aside from deleting the Discord server itself. 

Moderators have the ability to mute, deafen, disconnect, and kick other members. They help make chat and voice communications safe for all members and manage those who don’t follow the rules. 

Finally, members are simply everyone else who has joined the Discord server. They have access to all public channels and can generally chat and interact with anyone within the server as long as they follow the proper server rules. 

Firstly you'll first need to enable Discord Developer Mode, which allows users to retrieve their user ID as well as channel IDs. First, open your Discord client, and click on the settings wheel icon in the bottom-left corner. This is in the group of icons that are shown alongside your avatar and Discord username 

Navigate to the left-hand side menu and go to the option that says "Advanced". Click this in order to open up the Advanced Settings pane. Once the Advanced Settings pane has appeared, this will contain the option to enable Discord Developer mode. If there is a green checkmark inside the switch, then it is already enabled, but if there isn't, simply click the toggle to enable Developer Mode. 

Simply scroll through your server list on the right-hand side of your Discord client until you find the server that contains the channel. Click on the server icon to enter the server. Then, the channel list will be displayed, which showcases the channels you have access to in the server. Then, navigate to the channel whose ID you'd like to retrieve. 

To start the screen recording, press the "Screen Recording" button.

You can quickly turn on or off AssistiveTouch on your iPhone or iOS device with Siri voice command without touching the phone. 

You should have enabled the settings on your iPhone to listen for the "Hey Siri" voice command. Invoke Siri by saying "Hey Siri".

Now, you can see a soft, circular button on your screen that can be dragged and placed anywhere on the screen.

You can also turn off AssistiveTouch using Siri. 

Once it is turned off, circular button will disappear from your screen. 

Permissions allow users to have specific privileges and functions in their server. Some permissions can be as basic as allowing users the ability to add reactions to messages while other permissions grant users more administrative actions. These permissions are based on the roles assigned to users in a server and permissions can be assigned per role on both the server level and channel level. 

Firstly, you'll want to disable all permissions for @everyone using these steps below: 

If you post your Discord server's link publicly on a website or anywhere on social media, it will have a public perception. However, if you want to create a truly public server that anyone can access without using a link, you'll have to enable the “Community” option. 

Channel Permissions are a set of parameters that control what actions a member can perform in a channel. These permissions have the same action name across different channel levels, but they can be customized for each channel. 

Channel permissions are an integral part of running a Discord server. Specific settings can ensure that certain server members or roles don’t have specific permissions while other key server members and roles do. 

Discord banner is the image that appears above your verified server’s listing. Banners on Discord are also a perk of the platform’s paid Nitro membership. Users who opt-in to the upgraded membership have the option of adding a banner to their profile. 

When it comes to server banner backgrounds, Discord’s requirements are slightly different. This banner appears above your channel list. Discord recommends an image size of 960 x 540 pixels with a 16:9 aspect ratio. If you have an image that is 1920 x 1080 pixels, then Discord will automatically resize it when you upload it. 

Discord also recommends keeping the upper 48 pixels of your image simplistic. You’ll want to keep it free of busy graphic design, illustration, or images, because you want users to be able to easily identify your channel and read the name without issues. 

Launch the Discord app and start a voice call or video call. Tap Share Screen or if you don't see this menu, swipe up for more options. Confirm that you wish to start the broadcast when the confirmation screen pops up.

Nitro is the premium version of Discord. You don't need to subscribe to Nitro to start streaming, but without Nitro, your maximum stream quality is limited to 720p and 30 FPS. Streaming at higher resolutions or frame rates is impossible without a Nitro membership 

If you manually invite someone to your server, Discord sends them straight to the channel you clicked the Create Invite button next to. When someone joins through a general invite link or by finding your server in the public directory, they'll land in the channel at the top of your list. 

Consider making this default channel your welcome channel to greet newcomers. This channel would offer space for current members to say hi or for you to introduce your server. 

Community servers also have welcome screens with a message, channel recommendations, and rules that new members see on entry. But as you should know that  Discord welcome screen example message has a 140-character limit. So it might make the most sense to use both the welcome screen and a channel with more details. 

Discord allows Nitro subscribers to upload a custom banner image on their profile. Initially, this feature was only available in the Discord desktop application, but it was extended to the mobile app, as well. 

Discord recommends a profile banner size of 600 x 240 pixels. Its supported file types are PNG, JFG, or GIF, and the banner file must be under 10 MB. You can even use animated GIFs for some added pizzazz. 

Now to give permissions to all your classroom members joining the server, you can do so in two different ways.

Google Sheets will uniformly adjust the width for all the columns you've selected.

This visual indicator helps ensure you've expanded or reduced the column to a suitable width for your data.

By following these steps, you can ensure all your data is clearly visible and neatly organized in your spreadsheet.

You'll then see the menu pop up where you can copy that invite link by pressing the "Copy" button and send that invite out through a different platform. Once you've copied the link, you can share the link through your school's email system.

If you've already started a direct message/have become friends with your Teacher's Aides and Students, you can also directly invite that individual by searching for their name, and pressing the 'Invite' button.

Just like the arborist term, pruning means to cut back the growth of a server so that it has room for new growth in greater abundance. If your server ever stops growing, it’s never a bad idea to prune out long-inactive members. 

You may want to alert all members that you will be doing this before going through with it, just to be courteous. If you choose to alert them, give them a 7-day grace period to resume activity in the server. 

To set up a new channel, click on the server’s name on the top-left and you’ll see the option to “Create Channel.” Hit that, and from here, you can select either a Text Channel or a Voice Channel.

Each server also has individual channels, and each channel within a server can represent a subject, lesson or homework discussion within your classroom that you can utilize to chat with your students or peers.

You can customize and organize your Discord created from different templates. Change the server name, channel names, and organize your students with powerful roles. Once you’ve got your server set up as you want, it’s time to invite your students to join you.

Discord also allows full screen sharing with audio, so you can switch between browser screens and documents without needing to re-share the screen each time. Groups - Video channels for group work allow students to complete in-class activities without having to worry about social distancing.

It acts like a sticky note for Discord, making sure valuable information such as server rules do not get overshadowed by new messages even months after the pinned messages are first posted. You can only pin 50 messages in the pin box in Discord, meaning if you want to pin new messages, you will have to delete older ones to make space.

This may feel like a disadvantage. However, it makes perfect sense. Pinning messages is only for important information that must be used in the future. Removing this limit and giving people free rein on the number of messages they can pin will eventually lead to too many pinned messages, defeating the feature's purpose.

In theory, that means users would need to keep track of all these accounts and also keep their family members aware of the important accounts such as banking, credit cards, insurance, streaming, school, college, communication services, investment, retirement, employment and many more.

This is the first tutorial to show how to use Google Sheets to maintain and track all your accounts from a single place for FREE.  Follow this step by step tutorial to set up your accounts with some basic information at a single place and share with other family members if you want. This will help to stay on top of monitoring all your accounts and take necessary actions as needed. It’s even better that you can access this accounts tracker sheet from any device with the internet.

To set up the accounts tracker, start with a new blank sheet. 

By using the “Account Type”, you can group similar accounts. As an example, if you have bank accounts in multiple countries such as the US and Canada, you can group these accounts with account types as “US Bank” or “Canada Bank” to differentiate for easier tracking. Otherwise “Account Type” can be kept simply as “Bank”.

Just for easy reference and lookup, the tab and sheet are renamed to  “Accounts List” and “Accounts Tracker 1”.

You can apply more formatting options to improve the readability for easier tracking and also ensure checking the specific accounts in a timely fashion. To format the column headers, select all the headers.

Click the first cell “Institute Name”, press Shift key and click “Account Access” to select all the column headers. Click the “Bold” button on the menu bar to bold the column headers. Click the “Fill Color” to select the background color. Click the “Text Color” to change the color of the header text. Now the column headers are differentiated from the data rows.

As you would have added many accounts to the tracker, now to search or look up a specific account you can apply the data filters at the columns. To apply the filter, select the column headers. Go to the “Data” menu and click “Create a Filter”. Now you can see the filter option added to the right side of the column header. Click the filter option and select specific data values to filter the records on the tracker.

Once you apply a filter on a column, there is a filter icon displayed to the right of the column header. Click the filter icon to remove the filter and display all the values in that column.

For your convenience and also to ensure that you are looking at a specific account and update the tracking information, suffix the last 2 digits of the account number to the account name.

To improve the readability further, you can alternatively color code each account group associated to an account type. This will help when you want to focus on checking a few account types more frequently than others.

By freezing the column headers, you can always view the data associated with the column headers that avoids the confusion when scrolling down to look at the data rows towards the bottom. To freeze the column header row, select the first data row. Go to the “View” Menu. Select “Freeze” and click “1 row”. Now the column headers are frozen when you scroll down.

You can copy and paste an existing account to add a new account to the tracker.

You can make a copy of this template and customize to add your own accounts for monitoring and tracking. 

To download or make a copy of the template go to the template link provided in this video description to open the template. Click “File” menu and then click “Make a Copy”. In the pop up window you can rename the template and then click “Make a Copy”. Now the copied template will be opened in a new browser window. Click the “Accounts List” tab to start adding your accounts or updating the sample existing accounts in the template to meet your need.

In this template, generic placeholders for member names such as member 1, member 2 or member 3 are used. You can replace this with your name, or your family member name for easy recognition of the account. You can delete the accounts that are not needed or add new accounts.

To delete accounts, click the row number of the record at the left. Click the “Shift” key and select the last row of the range of records to highlight the records. Within the selected range, right click and choose “Delete Selected Rows” from the menu.

Once you create the account tracker with the list of your account, you can share that with your family members as read only or allow them to edit or add more accounts to the tracker. To share the tracker, click the “Share” button at the top right. Enter the people or groups in the text box. Click “Done” to share the template. Also restrict the template not to be accessed by anyone with the link.
