If you want to change the color and size of the text on your Snapchat messages, there are a few different ways you can do it. One way is to use the built-in font options that Snapchat provides. To do this, simply open up the Snapchat app and tap on the “Settings” icon in the top-right corner. Then, tap on “Text” and you’ll see a few different font options that you can choose from. 

Another way to change the text color and size on Snapchat is to use third-party keyboard apps. There are a few different keyboard apps that offer different font and color options for Snapchat. Simply download one of these keyboard apps from the App Store and follow the instructions on how to set it up. 

In Snapchat’s post creation UI, open the image you want to make a sticker of using the gallery icon. Then, tap on the scissor icon from the right toolbar. You will now see the option to make a new sticker. You can manually draw a border for the sticker on the image or use the rectangle or ellipse tool to make the selection. 

After selecting the portion of the image you want as the sticker, tap on the yellow “Done” to save the sticker. You can now place your sticker anywhere in your Snapchat story. 

Peruse through the options and select the emoji of your choice. There are 8 options: heart eye emoji, fire emoji, heart emoji, skull emoji, poop emoji, middle finger emoji, thinking face emoji and lips emoji. Once selected, the emoji will be highlighted with a white circle surrounding it, use your finger to draw on the snap. You can draw different things using different emojis by switching emojis between drawings.

Users can also control the size of each emoji. To do this, use two fingers to "zoom in" (make the emoji size smaller) or "zoom out" (make the emoji size larger). Note that a smaller emoji size makes it easier to draw things with curves like a heart or the letter "S."

Whether you want to share your favorite article or an awesome apartment listing, you can add a link to your Snapchat story so friends can see what you see, too. 

This feature doesn't allow users to view the webpage within the app, but it helps your friends avoid having to leave the app and search around for the right site. You can add a link through the paperclip icon. Once you've successfully added a link, the paperclip will appear in a white circle before allowing you to customize the rest of your snap and send it out.

Edits you make to a Snap can be saved or discarded but once you save them, you can’t undo those edits.

Both Boomerang and looping videos are quite similar in nature. The only difference is the video direction. In Instagram’s Boomerang, video switches its direction back and forth as soon as it ends, whereas Snapchat looping video keeps moving forward until someone closes it or moves to a different story. However, with looping videos, there’s one more feature we’ll be discussing, and that is the Bounce feature of Snapchat. Snapchat’s Bounce feature is exactly similar to Instagram’s Boomerang. 

Make sure to update your Snapchat app to the latest version. This feature won’t be available if you haven’t updated your app. 

Snapchat offers an extensive collection of lenses and filters to enhance your snaps. To use a lens, open the Snapchat camera, tap and hold on your face, and swipe through the available lenses. To access filters, swipe left or right after capturing a snap. Snapchat also allows you to create custom filters for special occasions through the “Filters & Lenses” option in the settings menu.

Whenever you tap and hold on a user in Snapchat, their Snapcode pops up along with their name and Snapchat username. 

But here's the important part, If the user you tapped is following you back on Snapchat, if you are mutual friends, you'll be able to see their Snap score. If the Snapchat user is NOT a mutual friend, (you're following them and they aren't following you) you won't be able to see their Snap score.

Group Chats let you and up to 100 friends stay in touch and share the moment together. To start a Group Chat, tap the chat icon at the bottom of the Chat screen and select who you want to Chat with. To view a Group Chat, tap it on the Chat screen. You can find your Groups in Search bar also. 

Creating and managing group chats on Snapchat is simple if you know where to start. However, Snaps you send to a Group don't count for Snapstreaks with individual Snapchatters. When you want to maintain your Snapstreak with someone, you still have to send individual snaps to them. 

Group Chat Tips: 

let’s discuss the difference between the two in brief. Your display name is your Snapchat profile name, and that’s what users see in the conversation window. It’s not only possible for you to change your own display name, but others can also change your display name on their end.

The option to change your Snapchat username is available to all users now, which means you can easily update your username on Snapchat on your Android or iOS devices. Make sure you update the Snapchat app to the latest version available on Play Store and App Store, in case the option isn’t showing up for you. In case you do not see the “Change username” option even after updating Snapchat, you could try force-closing the app and clearing the cache.

As a Snapchat user, you might have seen emojis next to your friend’s name in the chats list. Called “Friend emojis,” these emojis represent your relationship with your friends and acquaintances on Snapchat. But did you know that you have the option to change them and use the emojis you prefer.

Snapchat recommend selecting a password that is at least 8 characters in length, that does not contain your name, username, phone number, birthday, or other personal information. It is best to include a mix of numbers, symbols and/or capital and lowercase letters in your new password.

If you have login verification enabled, you may need your verification or recovery code to log in.

For security reasons, Snapchat unable to reset a password for an account if:

Snapchat cannot reset your password for you if you do not have access to the email or phone number associated with your Snapchat account, for security reasons. Snapchat cannot update your email or phone number for you. If you don’t have access to your verification code, you cannot log in to your Snapchat account on a new device.

It is important to have a valid email address associated with your Snapchat account. If you forget your password, your email address can be used to reset it. Although you can have more than one Snapchat account, only one unique email and/or mobile number can be verified per account. For example, if two accounts are created with the same email and/or mobile number and that contact information is verified against the newer account, then the email/mobile number will be removed from the older account.

We’ve all wanted to change our locations on Snapchat to bigger, better, and sometimes weirder places. Whether we want to surprise a loved one with an unexpected visit home or hide our true location, there are options to alter our locations on Snapchat. 

Snapchat uses GPS location, and so simply changing your IP address (which is what VPNs do) won’t be enough. You need to alter your phone’s GPS location, and although some VPNs can do that but most can’t. Nonetheless, it is highly recommended using a VPN to protect your online privacy and security while using Snapchat. 

If you want to avoid the headache of downloading new software to your iPhone, you can always change your Snapchat location settings instead. This won’t let you alter your location, but it will allow you to hide your location from certain people. 

When you sign up for Snapchat and use Snapchat services, Snapchat collect certain information from you, like your phone number and email address. Snapchat also collect information about you and how you’ve used Snapchat services, like which Snaps you’ve submitted to Spotlight and Snap Map. 

You can access and update some of your data (like your name, email address, phone number, and Bitmoji) by logging into Snapchat and going to Settings. Just tap your Profile icon at the top to go to your Profile, then tap the gear in at the top to go to Settings. 

It’s important to remember that Snapchat store different types of information for different periods of time. That means that you may not be able to access all the information that was collected since you first became a Snapchatter. Also, the types of information that we collect, store, and retain may change over time. Snapchat will keep your Privacy Policy updated with any changes. 

‍Your key account information is available in the Snapchat app. This includes your name, username, birthday, mobile number, email, Snapchatters you've blocked, Memories, Bitmoji, Snapcode, your orders (like custom Filters and Lenses), information about Spectacles, Shazam history, Snapcash transactions, and more. In the app, you can also update your privacy settings, ad preferences, lifestyle categories, permissions, Our Story management, and Snap Map settings. 

It's easy to change your Snapchat password, or reset your password if you've forgotten it. You can change your Snapchat password in both cases by going to your account settings and finding the "Password" option. You may also reset from the Snapchat Login page if you have a confirmed phone number or email linked with your account. You may also send an email as well.

Try creating a passphrase that is more than 8 characters and does not contain any personal information such as your name, username, phone number, or birthdate. It is best to use a combination of numbers, capital and lowercase characters, and symbols. Likewise, if you have Login Verification enabled, you may be required to provide your Verification or Recovery Code to sign in.

Last year, Snapchat updated user profiles to include 3D Bitmoji avatars. Previously, Bitmoji profile avatars were only available in 2D. The new 3D Bitmoji avatars are available in the US and offer over a thousand different combinations of facial expressions, poses, backgrounds, and gestures. According to Snap, in 2021, more than 70 per cent of Snapchat's 280 million daily active users had a Bitmoji avatar linked to their Snapchat accounts. Keep in mind Snapchat first launched 3D Bitmojis over five years ago, primarily as a lens so that users could place an animated and 3D version of their Bitmoji onto the world in augmented reality.

Snapchat's Shared Stories feature takes it a step further by allowing your friends to also add their friends and contacts to your Story, thereby creating a thread of Stories from the one you initially shared. The Shared Stories feature was announced in a Snapchat blog post in May 2022, which stated, “With this next generation Story, we’re hoping to help Snapchatters turn shared moments into shared memories”

The social media app is known to add features that improve the overall user experience. For instance, in February 2022, it finally listened to users and rolled out the ability to let you change your Snapchat username.

Who Can Contact Me: Choose who can contact you directly with Snaps, Chats, calls, etc.

Send Me Notifications: Choose to receive notifications from everyone or just your friends. Learn more about notifications settings for iOS and Android.

Who Can View My Story: Choose who can view your Story. Tap ‘Custom’ if you’d like to block specific friends from seeing your Story. If you are a Public Profile, you will have to go to your profile to adjust your My Story privacy settings.

Who Can See My Location: Choose who can view your location on the Snap Map. Your location won’t be shared on the Map until you open it for the first time.

Who Can Use My Cameos Selfie: Choose who can use your Cameos selfie in two-person Cameos.

Who Can See Me In Quick Add: Choose who can see you in Quick Add, a feature that appears around Snapchat which makes it easier to add friends.

Activity Indicator: Choose to let other Snapchatters see if you have been active on Snapchat recently.

You can change the hairstyle, eye color, body type, accessories, clothing, and all of the things that make your character distinct with the app. Animal ears, animal masks, and other animal-related accessories can be added to the faces of your cartoon characters. Your new selfie will be visible to all of your friends on Snap Maps after it has been uploaded.

If you disable the Bitmoji selfie, the Snapchat interface will look different. Snapchat has compiled a list of at least 100 outfits and outfit combinations. Most social media users care about their privacy and want it to be as secure as possible.

The ability to connect with people via Snapchat is great, but sometimes it might reach a point where everything isn't great anymore. For example, you don't want someone to see your post, or you're receiving messages that you don't want. In such situations blocking someone can be the ideal thing to do.

The process of blocking someone on Snapchat takes you only a minute, and here is how to do it:

Previously, you'd have to guess the clip lengths required to sync with a specific audio track, and manually adjust your clips. Now, you can drop your own photos and/or videos into a template, and you're good to go. Reels Templates are only available for Reels with multiple clips that have been edited together within Instagram. If a video has been fully edited outside of the app, Instagram cannot identify the different time stamps for each clip.

Once you see a template you want to use, tap the three-dot menu icon. Next, hit “Save” to add the Reel to your collections and by default, its template. When you’re ready to use your chosen template, simply head back to your collections (located in the dropdown menu on your profile) to record your Reel.

Snapchat Plus is currently available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. If you reside in any of these countries, you should be able to use the service on your iPhone or Android devices.

Snapchat will send a security code in an SMS text message to the phone number linked to your account. Standard messaging and data rates will apply. Keep in mind that if you don’t have cell service, you might not be able to receive a security code through SMS.

My Eyes Only is a special feature on Snapchat where you can hide your private snaps (photos and videos). As the name suggests, these snaps can be viewed only by you and no other person can see them. My Eyes Only is protected with a 4-digit passcode which you have to enter to unlock it and view your hidden snaps.

This feature is available in Memories on Snapchat. You can access it by swiping up from the camera screen and then going to My Eyes Only tab. There is an option to change and reset your passcode. In case if you forgot your passcode, you can reset it with your Snapchat password but this will permanently delete all your private photos and videos.

 

Available to all users since day one, a Snap is a picture or video that you send through the app to one or more of your friends. A video snap can be a maximum of 60 seconds long (known as a Long Snap). Keeping in line with the app’s original feature, Snapchat doesn’t hold onto any photo or video content, the platform deletes content after the recipient has viewed the Snap.

A Snapstreak (or Streak) tracks how many consecutive days you and a friend share Snaps. You’ll see a flame emoji next to your friend’s name, with a number indicating how many days you’ve kept the Streak going.

My Profile features your Snapchat info, like your Bitmoji, location on the Map, friend info, and more. It’s now easier than ever to manage your Story, as well as check out who’s viewed it. You can customize your 3D Bitmoji header by tapping it or pulling down on your Profile card. Share your customized pose and background to other platforms by tapping the share icon at the top of the screen.

Public Profiles enable Snapchatters ages 18 and older to become more discoverable and grow an audience on Snapchat. You have a Public Profile, but you can choose whether or not you use it. On top of increased visibility, a Public Profile grants access to tools like showcasing Stories, Lenses, Follower Count, and more. Use your Public Profile to express yourself to the wider Snapchat community.

After you create your avatar, you will have personalized stickers of your avatar to share with your friends in a direct message or add to your stories. You can edit your avatar from your profile at any time by tapping Edit Profile, then tapping Edit avatar.

You can delete your avatar in the avatar editor by tapping delete avatar, then tapping Delete. This action is permanent and cannot be reversed.

Write your own question and customize the type of answers. Select writing option to let people type a response to your question or tap on music to let people send you a song. Anyone who can see your story can tap the sticker and send you a response. To see who responded, swipe up on your own story. Tap a response from someone to share it. Their photo and username won't be shown.

Write your own question for a sticker that will show on your reel. People can respond to the sticker by tapping the Type something. Their responses will show as replies to the sticker where anyone who can see the reel can see the reply. If your account is public, people can also create reels that include your response.

If you're not seeing certain stickers on Instagram, make sure your app is updated to the latest version by visiting the App Store or Google Play Store. Keep in mind that not all stickers are available to everyone or available for reels.

You may need to convert to an Instagram professional account to link to a Facebook Page (if the Facebook Page is owned in Meta Business Manager).

Your personal Facebook account must have an Admin role on the Page you’d like to connect to. If the Page isn’t in the drop down on your Instagram profile, check your Page’s settings on Facebook to determine if you have an admin role.

The icon and the network name tell users exactly where they get when they follow the link. Besides, unlike a Facebook URL, they look neat. You have the opportunity to put 2 links to your Instagram bio. One of them you add as the Facebook icon. And another one you add in the External link field, which has remained free.
