Nathula Pass is a mountain pass located in the Himalayas in the Indian state of Sikkim. It is situated at an altitude of 4,310 meters (14,140 feet) above sea level and connects the Indian state of Sikkim with Tibet Autonomous Region of China. The pass is an important part of the historic Silk Road and was once a major trade route between India and Tibet.

Nathula Pass has gained popularity among tourists due to its scenic beauty and historical significance. In 2006, it was reopened for trade between India and China after more than four decades of closure. However, access to the pass is restricted, and only Indian nationals with valid permits are allowed to visit.

Tourists visiting Nathula Pass can enjoy breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks and experience the unique culture and traditions of the region. The pass is also home to the famous Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a temple dedicated to an Indian army soldier who lost his life near the pass and is believed to protect the soldiers in the region.

It is advisable to check the current rules and regulations regarding permits and accessibility to Nathula Pass, as they can vary depending on the prevailing circumstances and government policies.
