Just keep following preferences:
1. Position the router at most central place
2. Keep it away from any obstacles e.g. corner wall, cupboard
3. Keep it away from kitchen (usually microwave)
4. Keep it away from heavy electrical appliances or hi power wire
5. Opt for ceiling mounted wifi router
6. Experiment with antenna to find most appropriate position for transmitting signals around the corners
