Can the Iphone 6s from US be used in any other country?

One of my friend is planning to get an iphone 6s from US which he has got from his service provider. Question is, can it be used with a indian service providers sim card? Do we need to change the software? The international warranty will still be in place?

Yes we can use iphone6s in any country. In some countries we need to used R-Sim chip to use sim card
