The largest differences that I can see from specs are that the S5 has some slight waterproofing (not to be relied upon,) it has a stronger processing unit and it has an upgraded camera capable of 4k resolution versus 1080p. Besides all of that, it also comes with Android 5.0 OS and a bit more battery capacity.
