Pandora is a music streaming service based in the US, specifically California, and allows listeners to listen to music with radio stations that picks music for them based on their tastes, using their “Music Genome Project”, which classifies music based on musical traits.
Of the many unique and entertaining features of Pandora, one is Music Modes or Pandora Modes, which offers a variety of “modes” – different categories offering unique listening experiences – to choose from.
It is available for both free and premium users and gives users the chance to customize their listening experience. Listeners can now choose how they want to listen and have greater control over their music. At the start, it was only available for a limited number of users but eventually it expanded to cover up the entire listener base.
You can select any “mode” you wish to due to which you will have greater control over the kind of music that is being provided to you on your Pandora stations.
One of the modes offered is “discovery” – this basically allows you to diversify your listening experience and gives you music to listen to from artists who don’t often play on the selected station. They can be smaller artists or artists not many listen to.
