Signing up or connecting with your Apple device allows you to use use Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple device passcode to log in to the app.
For an Apple log in, you require:
1) iOS 13 or a newer version
2) An Apple account that uses two-factor authentication
3) You must be signed in to iCloud with your Apple account
4) Sign up with Apple
Bear in mind that if you decide not to share your Apple account email address while signing up, Apple give a random email address of its own choosing and passes forward any emails from Spotify to your actual Apple email address.
To connect an existing account to Apple, you must:
1) To connect, you need to share the email address you use for your Apple ID. Also, your Spotify email address must be the same.
2) When logging in to Spotify, touch on “Continue with Apple”.
3) Share your email address with the app.
4) You will receive a dialog box, which will confirm that your Apple account email address matches your Spotify email.
In case you don’t get a pop-up box/dialogue box that means the email couldn’t be matched. Ensure Spotify email matches your Apple ID email. Try connecting again after confirming.
1) Sing in to your Spotify account normally.
2) Touch “Connect Account” and you will be able to link it to your Apple ID.
