It's probable that the course you are referring to hasn't been formally released yet. These really are referred to as "soft-launched" courses, contrary to popular belief.
Soft-launched courses for all intents and purposes are currently being monitored for quality assurance, so they can't, for the most part, be used for assignments yet; however, admins can instruct their users to complete soft-launched courses independently using DataCamp's search bar.
