I prefer the screen lock option with remote data wipe capability after a certain amount of failures to login. The reason why this is nice is if your phone is lost or stolen, your private information could be used by someone. So if you enable that option, there's a good chance your data would be safe as long as you had it backed up somewhere, the copy on your phone would be wiped and you would be secure.
