Buying online versus buying locally?

Question

I’m thinking about buying a new phone and noticed that the online prices are a lot cheaper than the local ones. Is there any disadvantage when buying online (like from EBay?).

When buying online you run the risk of getting scammed, have to wait for it to arrive, and you also have to send it back if anything goes wrong with it. Also when buying online make sure you are buying from a reputable person (check his feedback) or from a reputable e-store and always ask about the warranty. Buying locally is more expensive, but is “easier” in the long run.
