In 2009 the European Commission obliged operators to reduce charges for calls made between countries in the EU. What do you feel about the government interfering in the free market in this way?

I am an European citizen and I totally supported this project. It was basically ironic to pay for a call from Germany to France (neighbors) a tax similar to a call from Russia to UK

When it`s required, the authorities interfer in order to bring balance on the market, for example when there is no transparency among providers and customers or when providers establish incorrect strategies, to avoid direct competition
