Follow the steps bellow and disable auto-save 

  1. Open Viber app on your Android phone or tablet
  2. Swipe from left to right to bring up the menu
  3. Scroll down and select “Settings”
  4. Go to “Media”
  5. Turn off “Allow automatic download of photos over mobile networks”
