As far as I know, iphone has quick and regular IOS updates no matter what carrier we use for the iphone whereas Android takes more time to update.
iphone has no extra bundled apps which can take up more space on your phone, while Android always facing that kind of issue and many times you fail to uninstall these apps, the thing you be able to do is to disable them
One more thing, iphone applications work better while Android's applications often hang or crash.
So, perhaps that is why you should use an iphone instead of an Android since in my own opinion, iphone functions better.
