We have been to major parts of the Kathmandu city and tested the 4G speed through Ookla Speed test android app. The major places are: Thamel, Gongabu, New road, Jamal, Baneshwor and Pulchowk.We have found maximum speed in Ncell 4G to be around 31.5 Mbps downlink whereas the uplink speed was 10.5 Mbps. The least data speed that we got was 4 Mbps downlink and 2 Mbps uplink. The average 4G speed in downlink comes around 9 Mbps whereas average uplink speed is around 5 Mbps. In some places, we have found the uplink speed to be greater than downlink. Ncell has launched its 4G service in Kathmandu, Nagarkot and Dhulikhel and soon are launching in Pokhara and other major cities.
