HOw do I select a phone based on the camera?

I wanted to buy a phone bassed on good camera.Can some one suggest a better phone and what to look

Well buddy that'd totally depend on the price tag and what all choices would be compairing.

For example, Apple had not been offering enough mp in their camera at the time 8mp phones had been introduced into the market. Thus just Megapixel would just be half of the story.

Once the budget would be decided by you following 6 things would have to be taken into account by you in order to land into a safe deal:

1. Autofocus
2. The right type of flash
3. The minimum set of white balance and exposure modes you need
4. Image stabilization options
5. Mobile phone features to support your picture taking
6. Megapixels

As to give you a help i terms of flash if the budget would be letting you choose between an led and xenon flash, a dual led flash would be better for a better clarity.

Thus , It;d be you who would have to define the degree of good mobile camera , based upon your needs and never the less your hands should be friendly enough !

Quality of lens also counts...

Phone, like Galaxy S4 Zoom, with an optical zoom + 16 MP BSI-CMOS is a good combination.

same goes with Nokia Lumia 1020 with 40MP + BSI CMOS + Carl Zeiss Tessar lens.

Simple make picturesb in dark areas if its quality remain same then the phone has got excelent camera
