How do I change the settings on my phone (sync emails, contacts, etc.)?

As far as i know, every phone has sync options in its settings. However if you want to manually sync your emails then go to email app for example gmail, then here you can see the option in settings for auto sync. If you set it to yes then it will automatically sync your emails. Same is the case with contacts.

to make the desired change, go to the settings icon on your device, click on email then account, then add account and then advanced set up. after that, you have to fill in your email details then you click on NEXT then you click on exchange-sync and follow the other steps and restart your device when you are done.
