Is it legit for Samsung VR device to drain battery so fast?

I got Samsung VR device with My Edge phone. When I use it, it drains phone battery very fast and when I took out the phone, it is burning. I think this is what happens when you use the device with something phone can not handle. But still, I want to know if it is happening on my device or it is common.

I think you should check it in the customer care. Because my VR does not drain battery much quickly.
