Yes. BSNL and MTNL are merging .. both the companies are facing huge loss and in order to make up for the losses the government has decided to merge both the companies .. MTNL will be merged with BSNL and after the complete merger is complete the former would act as subsidiary for the latter.. the whole process is expected to take 18-24 months to complete
