How Spotify protects against artificial streaming for the promotion of your music?

An artificial stream is a stream that is not genuine, it includes the attempt to manipulate Spotify by the use of automated processes like scripts or bots. The Spotify team includes the research and engineering resources to detect, remove and mitigate artificial streaming activity on Spotify.  

In this way, no artificial streams remain in the playlist and only right holders are paid fairly. So, if someone wants to deceive by launching a stream that is mitigated or artificial, Spotify immediately detects and protects against promotion.

Spotify doesn’t allow the fake artist to grow rather remove them from the platform so only genuine artist grow through Spotify.

Spotiy is built based on the cloud. Downloading music/offline music is just a supplement, an advanced feature, so it's paid. Remember that even if you download music to your device, you don't own it the same way you would if you bought it from iTunes. You just have the right to use it offline (and for a limited time).
