My iphone5 on/off button has stopped working?

Hi recently my on/off button on my iPhone5 has stopped working. Is this an easy fix ? could I do this at home myself or best send away to be fixed ? Thanks

Hello, you are not alone in this. Though Apple claims this affects only a small percentage of their users, it seems a lot of people are affected. This problem is seen on phones manufactured prior to March 2013. Apple has accepted to replace these faulty power buttons free of charge.

There are two ways to this.

You can go on Apple's dedicated site for this http://ssl.apple.com/support/iphone5-sleepwakebutton/ and put in your serial number to know if you qualify for a free replace.
