Lookout is the best I am already using it.
It’s very simple to download and set up Lookout for Android. If you’re a loyal Lookout user, consider yourself an expert in this area, so please share this with some less-informed friends. If you’re a new user or have thought about downloading Lookout, let us show you just how easy it is to get started for free! Six screens, and then you’re protected by Lookout! At Lookout, we believe that everyone should have access to top-of-the-line mobile security, which is why we make it super easy to download our app and sign up for an account. Here’s how: 1. Download Lookout from Google Play for FREE If you are new to Android, just press on the ‘Play Store’ in your list of apps, search for Lookout, tap ‘Install’ and then read our permissions. Tap ‘Accept and Download’ and open the app once it finishes installing. 2. Open Lookout and Get Started To get started with Lookout, you will need to enable (or disable) three features. We recommend enabling all three features to get essential protection. you can change your selections at any time by going into ‘Settings’ within the app. Security: Enable Security so that Lookout can scan every app you download and run full scans of your phone every week. This will keep you protected from any malicious apps and spyware that you may download. Backup: Enable Backup to regularly back up contacts (plus photos and call history, if you upgrade to Lookout Premium). That way, if you ever lose your phone, you will still have all of that precious data! Missing Device: In order to access our find my phone feature and locate your phone when it is lost or stolen, you will need to create a Lookout account. Tap ‘New user’ or ‘Existing user’ to either log in or create an account. 3. Enter your email address and password “Why do I need to create an account?” you ask? You will use this login information to access lookout.com and locate your phone (or make it scream!) and view your backed-up data. Pretty handy if you ever lose your phone. 4. Start Lookout Once you start Lookout, your first Android antivirus scan will begin. You will have the chance to opt into participating in the Mobile Threat Network, to help our security team discover new threats as soon as they emerge. You can also ‘Enable Better Security’ by going into ‘Settings’ and then ‘Missing Device’. This will give Lookout ‘Device Administrator’ capabilities to help you Lock and Wipe your phone if it is ever lost for good. 5. Log into lookout.com and check out your account Just so you are prepared if you ever misplace your phone, log into your account at lookout.com and test out our Locate and Scream features. If you perform a backup, you will also be able to see your data here!
