Most Service providers sell expansive mobiles on affordable financing plans and sign up a time bound contract with customers. The catch in the offer is that the customer must have a positive credit rating, which is often assessed by a third party. Assessment mechanism used by these assessment companies is very tricky and building a reputed credit rating takes long time and this reputation could be badly hurt for only minor fault, even if it is unintentional, by the customer. This is a reason why many customers do not qualify to get benefit of offers from the companies. To overcome this T-Mobile has announced a plan called "Smartphone Equality". If the consumer is an existing customer of T-Mobile and has been paying his/her telephone bills regularly for last one year (consecutive 12 months), she/he will qualify to take advantage to get a phone on affordable financing plans from the company. It is believed that many existing customer will qualify due to elimination of credit rating assessment procedure from third party.
