In the set-up: WhatsApp creates an account based on your phone number. BBM creates an account using PIN numbers.
In text chat: WhatsApp lets you know when the message was delivered to the server (one check), and when it was delivered to the sender (second check), and when the receiver has read it (blue two checks). In contrast, BBM doesn’t provides such timestamp feature.
