1.Disconnect the power cord from the back of the fax machine
2.Verify that the phone cable is fully inserted into the fax machine.
3.Reconnect the power cord to the unit and then plug it in to the wall outlet.
4.Hang the phone up and either call your phone line number from a phone on a different line (like a cell phone) or have someone call your number
