Probably the major disadvantage is related to lifetime baterry, that will last up to 2-4h

If you intend to store massive multimedia contents, your laptop will include up to 750 GB, that might be not suficient

Lastly, if you intend to use a new operating system, it will be preinstalled on recent models, quite expensive

Disadvantage of laptop compared to tablet is that it is heavier and bulky compared the other one.  Also, the are some apps that are not compatible to laptop compared to tablet and smartphones.

There can be many disadvantages to using laptops. Other then its limited memory storage, battery life, Anti virus update, heavy weight, it may causing severe health related problems. Main is weak eye sight ,backpain, neckpain due to working for longer hours in one posture.  The heat  from the laptop on the lap causes skin and groin burns.
