Ipad mini 2 and ram memory?

My iPad mini 2 is struggling with google earth app. It crashes and shows low memory message? What is the problem?

Try  to close every app that you don`t need before opening Google Earth

If the crush persists, try to use Maps. It`s not like Google Earth, but it requires less from your ram memory
