Any way to change the look of the notification panel?

I don't like the look of the notification panel. The color scheme just isn't ME. Does anyone know if that can be customized? Preferably without rooting. I have the T- mobile version, if that makes any difference.

You can't really change it without rooting. T-Mobile version can be easily rooted, and you can even flash a custom ROM thanks to its unlocked bootloader. But you can change notification shade simply by installing Xposed Installer after rooting it, and downloading the mod called Wanam Xposed.
