Commonly, smartphones get hot after internet browsing or playing games, it can become warm after 10 minutes, 1h is already a good record :) When it happens, try to end the activity that influenced it and leave it for few minutes, it would cool down
What do you mean by switch? You try to call somebody and it ends? Does it request a password after 5 minutes of no activity?
