I had this exact question from someone I know yesterday, for the best part of a year hes had an android and not been able to sync it with outlook. Personally I prefer syncing with google, but if you really need to use outlook, there is an option in the settings for Microsoft Outlook Actisync, or something like that, so as long as your server supports it you can happily sync
