How can I fix faded printout on my fax machine?

I have a 10-year old thermal fax machine and has been printing out fax documents just fine. However, recently I have attempted to print out a fax yet it come out to be faded. We tried to replace the toner but to no avail. Is it with the thermal printer mechanism or is it something else? Thanks.

What`s the brand of your fax?

Did also clean or replace the heads, those small parts grabbing your toner inside?

If you did and the issue persists, it`s more likely the inner mechanism
