What do you mean by long distance - international? Really there's no difference anymore between calling your neighbor's cell phone and calling your friend across the country; there's not a long distance plan for Verizon for sure. But, the more place I have lived, I have found myself, when comparing to friends with Sprint or even T-mobile, to favor Verizon's coverage in more rural areas, inside buildings, etc.
